It is intended to recognize the physician who demonstrates remarkable concern for the welfare and happiness of patients and has performed extraordinary acts of kindness, demonstrates a level of commitment to community service beyond the daily operation of the facility that parallels their involvement to quality patient care, and whose contributions may be overshadowed due to personal modesty and genuine humility.
