KINDERGARTEN
All children entering Kindergarten this fall will need a check up and may need specific immunizations in order to enter school. Check ups include developmental and well as hearing and vision screening. Immunizations usually given at this check up are:

  • DTap
  • Polio
  • MMR
  • TB Skin Test

Kindergarten physical times fill up quickly. Make your appointment early to get the day and time you need.

TSSAA SPORTS PHYSICALS
If you are involved in any competitive sports sponsored by the TSSAA, you must have a physical exam before being allowed to participate. These physicals must be done after May 1st of each year. At this visit, the immunizations are reviewed, a blood pressure analysis is done, and complete physical exam follows.

There is a TSSAA form required with each physical. You may print out this form and bring in with you, having completed the parent portion.

ANNUAL PHYSICALS
When your child turns 2 years of age, we recommend that he/she receive a yearly check up. At these visits your doctor will address developmental milestones, review all immunizations, and do a physical examination. At the yearly check up we also do a urine test to evaluate kidney function and screening for anemia. At age 3 we begin vision and hearing screenings along with the developmental milestones and physical examination.
